Carly Clarke OT

Carly Clarke

Director/Senior Occupational Therapist
Carly completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) at the University of South Australia in 2000. She has worked in a variety of settings including hospital and community based occupational therapy in Victoria, the United Kingdom and South Australia. She has a passion for orthopaedic and neurological rehabilitation, aged care and servicing rural and remote South Australians. Carly started Abilities Occupational Therapy with business partner Skye Quin in 2010.

Skye Quin OT

Skye Quin

Director/Senior Occupational Therapist
Skye completed a Bachelor of Community Health (Occupational Therapy) at Charles Sturt University in 2002. She has a strong interest and significant experience in neurological assessment and rehabilitation (including stroke, acquired and traumatic brain injuries and other neurological related conditions). More recently, Skye has been involved in providing case management services for clients with Acquired Brain Injuries. Skye started Abilities Occupational Therapy with business partner Carly Clarke in 2010.

Timothy Gransbury OT

Tim Gransbury

Director/Senior Occupational Therapist
Tim completed his Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) at the University of South Australia in 2006. Tim has completed multiple locum positions in both community and inpatient settings for several organisations in the United Kingdom and South Australia. Tim currently enjoys travelling rural South Australia visiting our clients in their homes. He has a passion for rehabilitation, assessing & prescribing complex home modifications and is one of a small number of therapists in the state with specialist NDIS training to complete major home modifications.

Alina Gransbury OT

Alina Gransbury

Senior Occupational Therapist
Alina completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) in 2006. Alina’s experience includes working as a Senior Occupational Therapist with adults who have intellectual and dual disability, working with aged care facilities to maximise safety and inform care planning, and in both community and inpatient rehabilitation. She is skilled in the areas of detailed functional assessments and assisting in the development of Care Plans and recommendations to ensure maximal independence and engagement for individuals.

 

Miranda Craddock OT

Miranda Craddock

Senior Occupational Therapist
Miranda completed a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at the University of South Australia in 2017. Whilst at university, Miranda undertook placements in  a range of settings, including working with clients with acquired brain injury and vision impairments. Miranda has a strong interest in neurological conditions, rehabilitation and is passionate about providing services to rural and remote clients with a wide range of different conditions.

Lara Geach OT

Lara Geach

Senior Occupational Therapist
Lara graduated from the University of South Australia in 1998 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational therapy. She has worked in a variety of roles since then including in Mental Health, as a co-ordinator of a youth centre and in general community work both in Dublin, Ireland and in South Australia. She has a special interest in seating and wheelchair prescription and has undertaken post graduate qualifications in complex postural management. Lara also finds the areas of visual impairment and neurological conditions to be of particular interest.

Katie Tait

Senior Occupational Therapist
Katie graduated from the University of Wales in the UK back in 2010, with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) Occupational Therapy degree. Upon moving to South Australia in 2011, she settled in the Adelaide Hills and for most of her career has worked as a community Therapist. After recently working in a hospital setting where she specialised in the NDIS assessment team, she eagerly returns to community where her passion lies; helping people safely remain in their own home for as long as possible and getting the most out of life. Katie is experienced with complex AT prescription, functional capacity assessments, and values herself on comprehensive report writing to detail a person’s clinical needs and requirements to facilitate adequate supports.

Glen Macfarlane OT

Glen Macfarlane

Senior Occupational Therapist
Glen completed a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at the University of South Australia in 2019 and joined Abilities OT as a therapist following a student placement during his final year of university. Glen has experience working with a variety of clients including those with physical and intellectual disabilities, and children who have experienced trauma. Having previously worked as a tradesperson, Glen has a strong interest in the assessment and prescription of home modifications and assistive technology for clients throughout South Australia.

Lucy Moyle OT

Lucy Moyle

Senior Occupational Therapist
Lucy completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) at the University of South Australia in 2011. She began her career working in the Disability sector for the Adult Specialist Services Intervention and Support Team (ASSIST) prior to relocating to the Limestone Coast eight years ago. Since this time, she has worked in a variety of clinical settings and has experience working in Adult Community, Acute Care, Chronic Disease Management, Disability, Palliative Care, Paediatrics and Rehabilitation.

Lucy has a passion in assisting people to live their lives to the fullest and engage in their meaningful activities.

Outside of work Lucy enjoys spending time outdoors with her young family, entertaining friends and keeping active.

Marnie Sommerville OT

Marnie Sommerville

Senior Occupational Therapist
Marnie completed Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) at University of South Australia in 2005. Marnie has worked in a variety of clinical roles within the South East region of South Australia. These include Community, Acute, Post Acute and Aged Care settings. These roles have given her experience in Palliative Care, Paediatrics, Adult Community, Disability, Rehabilitation, Geriatric Evaluation Management, Transition Care, Aged Care Assessment Team and Burns Therapy.

Marnie has a passion for helping people in rural South Australia meet their goals and maximise their quality of life. She enjoys travelling throughout the South East to support clients in their own homes to achieve their goals.

Marnie studied Occupational Therapy so that she could give back to the rural South East community that she grew up in. She likes to work part-time so that she can spend time with her family.

Kaitlyn Ward OT

Kaitlyn Ward

Senior Occupational Therapist
Kaitlyn completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Principles of Occupational Therapy)/ Master of Occupational Therapy, at Flinders University in 2020.

Kaitlyn has experience in Community Settings, Inpatient Mental Health and School based Paediatric Therapy. Kaitlyn’s special interest is in Sensory Modulation with children and youth and hopes to expand this throughout her employment with Abilities OT.

On the weekends, Kaitlyn enjoys spending time with her Golden Retriever, Millie, and playing netball for the Padthaway Lions.

Julia Pham

Julia Pham

Occupational Therapist
Julia completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences/Master of Occupational Therapy at Flinders University in 2020 and joined Abilities OT as a new graduate. Julia completed placements ranging from providing services within the community setting and working in a mental health residential service. Her final placement with the Transitional Care Program team in the Barossa established a new and strong interest to work in rural areas. Julia is passionate about helping clients to achieve their goals and to maintain their independence and safety to carry out daily living skills and the activities that they value.

Ebony Leslie OT

Ebony completed a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at the University of South Australia in 2021, joining Abilities OT as a new graduate. During her time at university Ebony completed a range of placements including working closely with clients with Chronic Pain, working with paediatric clients in Tasmania. She also completed a rural health project alongside the Orroroo community.  Ebony has always enjoyed travelling and is excited to be able to incorporate this into her passion of helping people feel safe and independent within their homes.

Georgie Pinkerton Allied Health Assistant

Georgie is currently studying her Certificate IV Allied Health Assistance (Occupational Therapy). Prior to working for Abilities OT, Georgie worked in aged care as a personal care assistant for 2 years prior to moving back to her hometown, Kingston SE. She also worked as a nanny for 6 years across Adelaide and in Germany. Georgie has a passion for working with children and being a part of their journey and she hopes to further her knowledge and qualifications while working with Abilities OT.

Georgie enjoys being at home and surrounded by family and loves to be outdoors with her partner on weekends. Her happy place is going back to her hometown and seeing her dog Hunter.

Melanie Bakker

Allied Health Assistant
Mel is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Health Science/ Master of Occupational Therapy at Charles Darwin University. Mel joined the Abilities OT team in 2023, excited to embark on a career change having previously worked in a diverse range of laboratories all over Australia, chemical engineering. Mel spends her spare time with a standard poodle named Jeff.

Georgina Grossman

Georgina is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Health Science/ Master of Occupational Therapy at Flinders University and will complete her studies in 2025. Georgina joined the Abilities OT team in 2023 and is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of individuals in rural communities. Georgina is excited to further broaden her knowledge and skills and make a difference as an Occupational Therapist in the future.

Tanya De Witt Practice Manager

Tanya De Wit

Practice Manager
Tanya has joined Abilities OT with 6 years of experience of Senior healthcare management in a specialist setting and 15 years of business and event management. Having completed her Marketing and Business diploma in her hometown of Northern Ireland, Tanya successfully ran her own businesses for several years, before relocating to Australia in 2015 where she then embarked on a new career in Medical management. 

Her role at Abilities OT encompasses management, leadership, business development, strategic planning, finance, marketing and human resources.

When not working – Tanya enjoys taking her 3 boys for a game of golf or cycling around the beautiful Barossa that she now calls home.

Hanna Ruchs

Administration Officer

Hanna started with Abilities OT in 2018 as an administration officer. A registered nurse by training, Hanna brings with her a wealth of medical and disability knowledge. The role at Abilities OT is family friendly, enabling Hanna to spend time with her 3 kidlets.

Tiffany Donohue Finance

Tiffany Donohue

Administration /Finance Assistant
Tiffany was excited to join the Abilities team in 2022 in an administration and finance role. After previously dabbling in music and journalism, she found her niche working in Auckland, New Zealand in various administration roles before settling back in the Barossa with her family. Tiff is looking forward to developing client relationships and working amongst this great team.
